There has been some fuss locally about Scribes new upstairs lap dancing club. I've been in the pub part since it has opened and it's pretty much the same as it ever was, except the bar staff are wearing a fancy scribes uniform. There are some stairs leading upstairs with a bouncer standing at the bottom, which I assume is the entrance way to the club upstairs... perhaps someone more worldly (and less married!) than I can tell us what's upstairs (and if they'll let you, some photographs would be great). I found their web site, but it doesn't really say anything: www.scribes-pub.com/

I've been told that the lap dancing club hasn't been successful and is going to close, if it hasn't already.

Does this mean I have to go back there and try it out again? Oh dear... the things I have to do for you!

i have been up there, its purple and dingy.
there are no booths as such, so you have to look at all the other perverts sucking on 40yr old saggy tits too

Scribes is a nice pub with a big screen projection tv. The lapdancing is upstairs and you wouldn't know it was there apart from the shifty blokes in suits who come in. Free pool, decent dukebox and a dartboard what more?
